Avatar, currently the 3rd succesful film of all time has made a quite an impression on its viewers. It seems a lot of people are leaving the theatre with a feeling of guilt towards nature and the environment in general. But that's not all. It looks like the stunning visuals of the hottest and most popular movie of the moment has brought tons of inspiration to the design world.

Artists in several different media all over the world have already given their version of their own Avatar character. Some turned themselves into a true Na'vi. Some used their best drawing skills to create a portrait of one of the characters in the movie, or simply invented their own. Tons of Avatar inspired digital drawigns, vector artwork, photo manipulations, 3D materpieces, ... have been popping up on the online communities ever since the film reached the big screen.

Here's just a small selection of inspired work you can find out there. Enjoy!

The next artwork, Darkness Sulfure, is personally one of my favourites of this post. This is truly a CG masterpiece by Jonathan Roméo of France done with Cinema4D, Photoshop and ZBrush. His original idea was not to create a Na'vi warrior but he admits to be inspired by the film to create the following character.
