The Top Gear mystery remains: “Who is the Stig?” Since last year we can pop another question: “Where’s Stig?” In the book by illustrator Rod Hunt, you need to spot the popular racing driver of the Top Gear team. And take our word for it: this doesn’t come easy, as Hunt’s artworks are complex illustrations with loads of detail.

Over the years, London based artist Rod Hunt has built a solid reputation with his detailed character filled illustrations. His clients include international brands, advertising and new media agencies, magazines and print houses. On his website, www.rodhunt.com, you can admire wonderful designs he made for advertising campaigns, theme park maps, book illustrations and even some large scale installations. For BBC Books, he illustrated “Where’s Stig” as a tribute to the hit TV show Top Gear. In 2009, the book was the 35th bestselling book, selling over 250,000 copies.

Filled with references to the TV series and great visual jokes, “Where’s Stig” gives “Top Gear” fanatics hours of fun, searching for the driver and his TG colleagues. In the brilliantly drawn scenes, you can find Stig partying hard at a music festival, catching a tan on Costa del Stig, overseeing his workforce in a hidden spot or as a spectator lining the route of Bonneville Salt Flats Speed Week. If you want to find out if you are a good Stig-spotter, you can play the online game at www.wheresstig.co.uk, and learn more about Top Gear.
